Beckon

Come here: one hand held out in front, palm up, curls in toward the body and opens again, twice, while the head tips to invite.

What it is for

Beckon calls another character over without a word: to show it something, to share a secret, to lead it somewhere. Put it on a character while the other one is still a few steps away.

The principle it shows: repetition

The same small curl happens twice, the same size and speed. A repeated gesture reads as a request that is waiting for an answer; one curl alone would look like a twitch.

Try this

  1. Curl the hand 90 degrees on the first beckon instead of 60. A big, eager "come here!"

    In the program: ramp ยท to.part:hand:1 60 โ†’ 90

  2. Tip the head 18 degrees instead of 8. A sly, coaxing invitation.

    In the program: ramp ยท to.part:head~tilt 8 โ†’ 18

How it differs from Wave hello and Point

Wave hello greets someone where they are; Beckon asks them to come closer. Point sends the eye somewhere else; Beckon brings the other character here.

Works on

The two in the film above, and what the move turns on each: worked out by the build, which plays the move on each body and checks what moves. Nobody types this table.
