Heavy wind-up

Both hands take the sword up and back behind the head, the back arched and the weight on the back foot; it stays there, held, until the blow.

What it is for

The held preparation before a heavy blow: in a game, the charge-up you hold before letting go.

The principle it shows: anticipation, held

Anticipation, held. The back arches, the weight goes onto the back foot and the sword goes up behind the head with both hands. It stays there, so the longer it is held, the more the blow is expected.

Try this

  1. Slow it from 0.25 s to 0.42 s: the same heavy wind-up, taken more slowly, so you see each part of it.

In the program: ramp ยท over 0.25 โ†’ 0.42

  2. Turn the arm (right) to 124 degrees instead of 165: a smaller, tighter heavy wind-up.

    In the program: ramp ยท to.part:arm:1 165 โ†’ 124

How it differs from the others

Heavy blow is what it leads to; Sword swing winds up and strikes in one go.
