Whisper

A secret: the head turns and tips toward the listener, the chest leans after it, and one hand comes up beside the mouth, held while the words are said, then everything comes back.

What it is for

Whisper is for a secret, a plan nobody else should hear, or a joke at someone's expense. Put it on the character who speaks, with the listener standing to its right, and keep the line short.

The principle it shows: overlapping action

The head moves first, the chest a moment after it, and the hand arrives last, beside the mouth. Nothing starts or stops at the same time, so the lean reads as one movement of a whole body, not three parts switched on together.

Try this

Turn the head toward the listener over 0.6 seconds instead of 0.3. A slow, careful lean in, as if checking that nobody else is listening.

Lean the chest 14 degrees toward the listener instead of 6. A deeper, more secret whisper.

How it differs from Shout

Shout is the same idea pointed the other way: both hands at the mouth to carry the voice far, the chest pushing forward. Whisper keeps the voice close, one hand hiding it from everyone else.
