Thrust

The sword hand drawn back by the hip, then driven straight ahead at chest height with a lunge onto the front foot, the back leg long.

What it is for

A straight stab or lunge with a sword or a spear, or reaching for something fast.

The principle it shows: the lunge

The lunge. The hand is drawn back by the hip first, then driven straight ahead as the front foot steps out and the back leg stays long, so the point travels in a straight line. The marked Hit! is where the point reaches.

Try this

  1. Slow it from 0.15 s to 0.26 s: the same thrust, taken more slowly, so you see each part of it.

In the program: ramp ยท over 0.15 โ†’ 0.26

  2. Turn the forearm (right) to 79 degrees instead of 105: a smaller, tighter thrust.

    In the program: ramp ยท to.part:forearm:1 105 โ†’ 79

How it differs from the others

Slash sweeps across; Chop comes down from above.

Works on

The two in the film above, and what the move turns on each: worked out by the build, which plays the move on each body and checks what moves. Nobody types this table.
