Who it is

The monster is the cast's wild card. It faces you, has a side view and a back view, and comes with two options no other character has: one eye or two, and two legs or none. With no legs it sits on its round body, which makes it the test of whether a move works on a body without legs: a walk then moves only the arms and the bounce. It is meant to be friendly, the kind of monster that lives under a bed and is afraid of the dark.

Its body

The monster's body is one round torso, and its face is drawn on that torso: its head has no shape of its own, so the list of its bones below does not show one. Each arm is two segments ending in a claw, so it can wave a claw or reach for a spot on its body. Its two antennae are chains of three segments, and they answer to a move's ear channels, so they flop and swing like ears. Its tail is a chain of four segments, so it swishes and whips like the dog's. With legs on, it has two short legs, each with a foot. Its spots, its belly patch and its face (with a mouth that talks) sit on the body.

Making it yours

In the studio you can change the body, belly and spot colours, choose one eye or two and legs or none, pick a body shape and a look, and stretch it. In the creator you can add horns, more arms, longer antennae or wings, and build a whole new creature from it. Because every part keeps a name the moves know, whatever you build still plays every move.

Good moves to start with

Puff up and Angry shake are funny on the monster, Whip tail swishes its tail, Floppy hop sets its antennae flopping, and Wave and look raises a claw. The list below has every move that suits the monster.

Moves that suit it

Worked out by the build, not typed. A move is listed when, played on this character, it moves the parts the move is about: the kinds of part it moves on most of the characters that have them (arms, wings or front legs; legs; tails; ears; hair). A move about the whole body suits every character. The small words say what moves.
